I reported and wrote four articles for Change and Controversy on Campus: A Primer for Journalists, released in late 2006 by the Hechinger Institute on Education and the Media.
“I relied on Emily’s outstanding reputation as an education reporter with superb organizational skills that allow her to finish projects way before deadline. She is fast, professional, cooperative and a pleasure to work with, and I will rely on her again for future projects. I’ve known Emily since her days as an education reporter at New York Newsday and watched her flourish and perfect her skills in many areas.”

Readers’ Digest |

I led a massive redesign and upgrade of the company’s flagship Web site, RD.com, while also developing an interactive game, SuperWordPower, and an interactive tool for the best-selling book, Extraordinary Uses for Ordinary Things. I also developed an editorial plan to redesign our Family Handyman magazine franchise on the Web.
“Emily is an indefatigable leader, passionate about the projects assigned to her as well as those she initiated. Indeed, one of Emily’s key strengths is her self-starting nature that is driven to execution. Emily’s writing capabilities also served us well. She was able to accomplish an immense amount in a very short time.”

The
Asia Society |
|
In 2004, I authored Schools for a Global Age: Promising Practices in International Education (November 2004), a 50-page study of best practices in the fields of foreign language immersion, cross-cultural exchange and global studies. The report, which required interviews with hundreds of students and faculty, focuses on nine schools, programs and districts around the United States and details steps others can take to replicate their success.
"Emily Sachar has the rare ability to dig into a complex project with equal doses of insight, wit and reporting skills par excellence. She has a quality mind, an eye for meticulous detail, and can turn a phrase to make a story sing or help a report come to life. Perhaps most impressively, she has a focused energy that makes meeting the most ambitious deadlines possible, and fun."

"Emily cares passionately about her work. She
had an idea-a-minute to breathe life into our project.
She loves the Web and knows how to take maximum advantage
of the medium's interactivity. She's a woman with real
heart, soul and talent."

I know when I choose Emily for a job I don’t have to worry about a thing, as what she delivers consistently surpasses what was hoped for.”
